"DON'T PANIC"
These are the famous words that are printed in “large friendly letters” a top the hard plastic cover of the most remarkable book to ever come out of Ursa Minor Publishing.
‘What am I talking about?’, you ask.
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, of course! The out-of-this-world book which boasts the characteristics of your favorite paperback novel in size, but which closely resembles a large electronic calculator with over a hundred flat-press buttons.
‘I know. I Know. I should probably come back down to earth. This is not supposed to be another adaptation of the Hitchhiker’s universe.’
This hilarious, laugh-out-loud radio show, come six-book trilogy, come computer games and finally television series is the conceived brainchild of Mr. Douglas Adams, who found himself wandering around in a field in Innsbruck, England in 1971 with an idea…
As you can tell I am a fan. I love his comiedic writing style whether it be for the radio show or his adapted (from the radio show) novels, but like the Vogons in Adam’s universe, who try to wax poetically to their prisoners to make them suffer I, myself, suffer no illusions about my writing style and can only aspire to entertain and inform in a somewhat amusing format (I hope).
So, lets have some fun!
